Lead Cook

Oversee daily operations of the food truck, including food preparation, service quality, and the on-shift crew. Ensure the truck runs efficiently and meets all quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead truck operations during service, including pace, quality, and timing
  • Manage opening and closing duties: prep lists, par levels, restocking, and cash handling
  • Train, direct, and support cooks on shift
  • Enforce food safety, sanitation, and portion control standards
  • Coordinate setup and service at events and scheduled locations
  • Serve as the on-site point of contact in the manager’s absence
  • Operate and stage the truck as needed.

Requirements:

  • Prior line cook or kitchen experience required
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a small team in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and quality standards
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Availability for weekends, evenings, and event days
